What should you inspect on a used Nissan Murano?

Seat and door card condition for staining, especially on light-colored interiors. CVT fluid change history — the single most important document on any used Murano. Transmission behavior on a test drive, particularly under hard acceleration. Full service record over a low odometer reading alone. Book an inspection before you buy, since the cabin and the drivetrain need to be checked separately on this car.

Frequently asked questions

From AED 24,500 up to AED 24,500 on our lot today, with condition and mileage explaining most of the difference between individual cars from this generation.

Check the seats and door cards closely before you buy — interior staining shows up on around 79% of the Muranos we inspect here, well above the 49% we would expect for mid-size SUVs of the same age and mileage in the UAE. It is a cabin-wear issue rather than a mechanical one, and it is exactly why you read the inspection report on the individual car rather than assuming a clean-looking listing photo tells the whole story.

Buy the newest example your budget allows with a clean service record — the Murano has changed generations gradually rather than through a sharp break, so condition and how the car was maintained tell you more than the exact model year.

The Toyota RAV4 costs more and shows less interior staining in our inspections. The Nissan X-Trail also costs more and is a practical alternative within the same brand. The Toyota Prado costs more too and is worth cross-shopping if you want three rows and real off-road ability.
