The Toyota C-HR is the style-led small crossover: a coupe roofline, a low driving position and Corolla-family mechanicals underneath. It is a two-adults-and-luggage car rather than a family SUV, and the reward is Toyota running costs in something that looks like nothing else at the price.

What to inspect on a used Toyota C-HR

Front bumper and underside — the low nose collects ramp and kerb damage.
Paint and panel history, judged on the standard of the repair rather than its presence.
Service history, continuous rather than clustered before sale.
AC at idle, not only at speed.

Our listings run from AED 62,500 for an early example up to AED 74,000 for a recent low-mileage one. Trim drives the spread as much as age: the higher grades add bigger wheels, leather and the driver-assist package, and they command a real premium used.

The cabins survive this climate unusually well: just 4% of the Toyota C-HRs we inspect in the UAE show interior staining, against the 17% we would expect for small crossovers of the same age and mileage in the Emirates. 2020 to 2022 is the sweet spot. The C-HR arrived for the 2017 model year on Toyota's then-new small-car platform. It was facelifted for 2020 with revised lights, an updated cabin and better infotainment, and regional cars moved to the larger naturally aspirated engine — simpler and cheaper to maintain than the earlier turbocharged unit.

Slightly behind its class — about 50% after five years, against roughly 55% for the small crossovers it competes with. Styling this specific narrows the buyer pool when you sell. If retention is the priority, the Mitsubishi ASX returns about 60%.
