Nissan covers more of the UAE market than almost any other badge: a full-size SUV at the top, a run of crossovers in the middle, and small saloons that are the standard first car. Whatever the budget, there is a Nissan aimed at it — and the flagship SUV has just changed generation, trading its V8 for a twin-turbo six.

How much does a used Nissan cost in the UAE?

Asking prices run from AED 6000 to AED 369000 across the 246 cars we have live — the widest spread of any brand we sell. The 2020 cars show what one age buys across the range: a Patrol at AED 96,000, an X-Trail at AED 45,000, an Altima at AED 35,000, a Kicks at AED 30,000 and a Sunny at AED 20,000. A 2023 Patrol sold at AED 175,000.

Are used Nissans reliable?

Mechanically they are known quantities; cosmetically they show their working life. Of the 7,144 Nissans we have inspected in the UAE, 68% carry evidence of previous body or panel repair against the 62% we would expect for SUVs of the same age and mileage here, and interior staining appears on 38% where 33% is typical. These are 135,000 km cars used as family and company transport, so marks and repaired panels are a history rather than a fault. Strongly for a mainstream brand: Nissans average about 56% of their value after five years across the models we can measure, with the large SUVs doing the most to lift that average.

Which used Nissan should you buy?

The Patrol if the budget is not the constraint and you want the default large SUV. The X-Trail is the sensible family choice with seven seats available, and the Kicks the cheapest crossover to run. For a first car, the Sunny is the easiest thing in the market to buy, insure and sell again.

Nissan or Toyota?

A used Toyota is the stronger resale bet and Honda the more efficient saloon. Nissan gives you more metal for the money at almost every price point.
