Going by our closed UAE sales, a 2022 Nissan Patrol averaged AED 177,000, a 2020 AED 96,000, a 2019 AED 90,000, a 2016 AED 62,000 and a 2015 AED 55,000 — the steepest part of the curve sits between the early-2020s and late-2010s cars. Our listings ask between AED 41500 and AED 369000.

Settle Y61 versus Y62 first — two different vehicles sold side by side here for years. The Y61, the Safari, is the old-school one: live axles, a straight-six, minimal electronics, and the choice of people who take a Patrol into the dunes and fix it themselves. The Y62 arrived in 2010 with independent suspension, a comfortable cabin and a V8 or V6, and was heavily updated in 2020. For most buyers a 2017 to 2020 Y62 is the sweet spot; for hard desert work, a late Safari.

Not as well as its main rival — about 43% after five years against roughly 56% for SUVs of its size and age, while the Toyota Land Cruiser returns about 63%. That gap is the argument for buying a Patrol used.
