About Mitsubishi

Mitsubishi Motors Corporation is a Japan-based car manufacturer. It’s ranked 19th in the list of automakers that produce the highest number of vehicles worldwide annually. Founded in 1970 by Iwasaki Yataro, the company produces passenger cars as well as vehicles for commercial purposes. Trucks, crossovers, and SUVs manufactured by the company are popular for their durability and reliability. The company has also produced some memorable sports cars over the years. Many people buy Mitsubishi cars because they are affordable and come with a long warranty.

Mitsubishi cars are also known for their engines that are packed with enough power to help you accelerate across multiple terrains. The company initially manufactured ships. Mitsubishi built its first car in 1917, and as we know, it has come a long way since then. Mass-production of Mitsubishi cars began in 1960. By the end of the 1970s, the company was manufacturing over a million vehicles annually. Mitsubishi was the only privately held company in the country back then, but it held an initial public offering in 1988 and expanded. Light trucks and SUVs were gaining popularity in the 1990s and Mitsubishi also began focusing on them, which proved to be a good decision. The company saw success when it started to sell cars in the United States. Lancer Evolution, Mirage, Starion, Galant, Eclipse and 3000GT were some of the top-selling vehicles. Its red logo, which consists of three diamonds has become iconic over the years.

In 2016, Nissan acquired 34 per cent of Mitsubishi Motors Corporation’s shares and brought it into the Renault–Nissan–Mitsubishi Alliance. Mitsubishi cars have also participated and been successful in many motorsport events such as the World Rally Championship. The company also has a partnership with the actor Jackie Chain and many Mitsubishi cars have appeared in his movies.

Given the persistent popularity of even discontinued models like Mitsubishi Lancer among used cars for sale, you wouldn’t have to spend too much time and effort when you decide to sell your car in Dubai and UAE.
