I started by looking at the selling price of a 2017 Jeep Cherokee Limited 3.2L V6, which sold for AED 38000 in August 2024. This car is a higher trim (Limited) than the target car (Longitude) and is older by two years, but has a similar engine. The mileage is slightly lower at 139500 km compared to 166000 km for the target car. Next, I considered the offer accepted for a 2019 Jeep Cherokee 3.2L V6 Longitude with 120000 km, which was AED 47000 in November 2023. This car is the same year and variant as the target car but has significantly lower mileage. The listed prices for 2017 models in the Longitude variant were around AED 40000, but these are older models. Considering the depreciation and the higher mileage of the target car, I estimated the market price to be slightly lower than the accepted offer for the 2019 model with lower mileage.
