Polestar is the electric car for a UAE buyer who wants Scandinavian design and a quiet, minimal cabin instead of a German badge. Everything wearing the badge is battery-electric, and the used ones are still young cars with low mileage. The line-up has widened since the original Polestar 2 fastback — larger SUVs now sit above it, one of them without a rear window at all.
How much does a used Polestar cost in the UAE?
Asking prices run from AED null to AED null across our listings, which puts a used Polestar against a mid-size petrol premium saloon or crossover rather than against a small car. The money buys a lot of performance and equipment for the segment, because the first owner absorbed the steepest part of the price drop.
Are used Polestars reliable?
The bodies come through cleaner than the market average: only 17% of the Polestars we have inspected in the UAE show evidence of previous body or panel repair, against the 36% we would expect for cars of the same age and mileage here. With no engine or gearbox to worry about, what matters on an electric car is the high-voltage system, the software and the tyres, and all three appear in the CarSwitch report on the individual car. Read the electrical pages first. Charging is a non-issue if you can plug in where you park, and the public network across Dubai and Abu Dhabi handles the rest.
Polestar or BMW?
A used BMW gives you the wider service network and the choice of petrol, and a used Mercedes the plusher ride. An Audi sits in between on both counts. Polestar undercuts all three on running costs and offers a cabin none of them will match for restraint.
