Used Ford Cars for Sale in UAE

Ford in the UAE is a big-SUV and pickup brand with a Mustang at the end for people who came in for something else. The badge sells metal per dirham, not prestige. The sharpest dividing line in the used range is the Explorer's switch to a rear-drive platform for 2020, which changed how it drives as much as how it looks. We have 158 listed nationwide.

How much does a used Ford cost in the UAE?

At the same age it makes sense. In 2017 cars an Explorer sold at AED 43,000, an Edge at AED 37,000 and an Escape at AED 20,000 — three sizes, three clear steps. A 2016 EcoSport went for AED 12,000. Asking prices across our UAE listings run from AED 5500 for an early-2010s car up to AED 240000 for a current-year one.

Are used Fords reliable in the UAE?

They ask more of an owner than a Japanese equivalent of the same age, and mileage explains most of it. Across more than 4,000 Fords we have inspected in the UAE, at a median of 138,000 km, 25% carry an engine, gearbox, suspension or steering fault against the 21% we would expect for cars of the same age and mileage here, and 20% an electrical fault against the 14% we would expect on that basis. That is a hard-working fleet, not a warning: read the mechanical and electrical pages of the report and price the findings in.

Do Fords hold their value in the UAE?

They do not, and that is the buyer's advantage: Fords average about 44% of their value after five years across the models we can measure, so a three-year-old three-row SUV competes with a new compact crossover.

Which used Ford should you buy?

The Explorer is the default family answer. The Edge is the same idea a size down and cheaper to run, the Territory the cheapest way into a Ford crossover with warranty left. The Mustang is the heart purchase.

Ford or Toyota?

Toyota returns more of your money and asks less of your patience — the honest position. Ford answers with three rows and a tow rating for what a smaller Nissan charges.

What to check on a used Ford

  • Gearbox when hot, especially on higher-mileage automatics.
  • Electrical modules — infotainment, cameras, sensors, each tested.
  • Cooling and AC at idle as well as at speed.
  • Interior wear against the stated kilometres.
