Most UAE buyers end up on Toyota for two reasons: it survives the heat and the mileage, and it sells again without argument. 156 are listed with us, from small hatchbacks to the Land Cruiser — which has itself swapped its V8 for a twin-turbo six in the current generation.

How much does a used Toyota cost in the UAE?

The brand covers almost every budget, from AED 11000 for an early-2010s car to AED 314990 for a current one. Judged a year at a time: among 2024 cars a Yaris sold at AED 43,000, a Corolla at AED 52,000 and a Camry at AED 94,000, while the 2024 SUVs went at AED 110,000 for a RAV4 and AED 239,000 for a Land Cruiser. A 2020 Corolla sold at AED 39,000, which shows how much of the price is simply age.

Are used Toyotas reliable in the UAE?

They are the mechanical benchmark here: of 5,644 Toyotas we have inspected in the UAE, at a median of 100,000 km, 11% arrived with a fault in the engine, gearbox, suspension or steering, where 15% is the rate for cars of the same age and mileage here. Tyre problems ran at 9% against 12% for that group. What an average cannot tell you is which car in front of you was serviced, so its report still decides the purchase.

Do Toyotas hold their value?

Better than any mainstream rival: Toyotas average about 59% of their value after five years across the models we can measure, and the four-wheel drives sit above that average rather than below.

Which used Toyota should you buy?

The Yaris if the budget is the constraint and the Land Cruiser if it is not. The RAV4 is the sensible family crossover and the easiest of the SUVs to run. The Prado does most of what the Land Cruiser does for less.

Toyota or Nissan?

A Nissan gives more equipment for the money and a Patrol that rivals the Land Cruiser. A Honda is the better drive in the mid-size classes. Toyota wins on what the car is worth when you sell.
