Used MG Cars for Sale in UAE

MG is what a UAE buyer looks at when the budget has to stretch to a big, well-equipped SUV: crossovers and saloons priced under the Japanese equivalents, with more kit and often warranty left. The newest cars wearing the badge are electric ones, which is a shift from the petrol crossovers that make up most of the used choice. Those arrive young, averaging around 57,000 km. We have 54 used MGs listed.

How much does a used MG cost in the UAE?

Asking prices run from AED 18500 to AED 95000 across our listings, but same-year sales are the honest guide. Among 2022 cars an HS went for AED 45,000 and an MG5 saloon AED 20,000. Among 2020 cars the HS was AED 32,000, an RX5 AED 28,000 and a ZS AED 22,000. Nothing here asks premium-brand money.

Are used MGs reliable?

On the evidence, yes, and by a clearer margin than the badge's price suggests. Just 4% of the 578 MGs we have inspected in the UAE show a mechanical fault in the engine, gearbox, suspension or steering, against the 7% we would expect for SUVs of the same age and mileage here, and interior staining runs at 9% where we would expect 15% for comparable cars. Do MGs hold their value?

Reasonably, given how cheaply they sell new: MGs average about 52% of their value after five years across the models we can measure, and the cash at stake is smaller because the new prices are low.

Which used MG should you buy?

The ZS is the small-SUV bargain and the cheapest to run. Step up to the HS for a proper family SUV with the turbo engine. The RX8 is the one to have if you need three rows and a ladder-frame feel, and the MG5 is the saloon for the lowest possible outlay.

MG or Chery?

A used Chery undercuts it again and matches it on equipment, and is the place to look if you want an electric option. MG's advantage is the number of independent workshops here that already know the cars.

Dealer service history — parts supply is easiest through the network.
Turbo engine when cold, and gearbox smoothness in traffic.
