Whichever you can find, since the CX-90 has only been on sale since 2024 and has not yet had a facelift. The meaningful decision is engine — turbocharged straight-six petrol or plug-in hybrid — not model year.

The Toyota Prado sits at similar money and is the safer bet if you would rather buy on reputation than on paper specs. A Nissan X-Trail costs considerably less if three rows and a straight-six are nice-to-haves rather than must-haves. The Jeep Grand Cherokee is worth a look too, though our inspections turn up more body and panel repair on it than we would expect for the class. Inside Mazda's own range, the CX-9 is the older, cheaper way into a similar-size three-row.

Still too early to answer from age, but the early signs are good: the cars we have inspected here sit at a median of around 32,000 km, comfortably light for a Skyactiv engine that Mazda has a long record of running well past six figures.

Engine and trim — six-cylinder or plug-in hybrid — since pricing differs sharply between them.
Hybrid battery and charging cable if the car is a PHEV.
Full dealer service history, given how new this model is to UAE roads.
Third-row folding mechanism for wear if the car was used as a family hauler.

Book an inspection on any CX-90 before you commit, since there simply is not enough used history yet to skip that step.
