The Toyota Raize is a subcompact crossover that punches above its size — offering a genuinely upright, SUV-like stance and a well-equipped cabin in a package small enough for city parking. Prices start from AED 63,900, making it one of the most accessible new SUVs in the Toyota UAE lineup.
The range spans two engine choices across two trims. The entry 1.2L E uses a naturally aspirated 1.0 L unit producing 97 BHP, paired with a Automatic — a straightforward, easy-to-maintain setup suited to urban driving. The top 1.0L Turbo G steps up to a turbocharged engine that delivers a noticeably livelier feel in traffic, and adds kit including a larger infotainment screen, rear parking sensors, and a more premium finish. The Raize seats 5 and returns 17 Km/L on a mixed cycle, which is competitive for the segment.
Pros: the raised ride height and commanding seating position genuinely feel more SUV than city car — a key reason buyers choose it over a conventional hatchback at a similar price. The turbo variant's low-end torque makes it feel punchy at urban speeds despite the small displacement. Cons: the 1.2L E feels underpowered once loaded or on the motorway. The rear cabin is noticeably tight for adult passengers on longer journeys — this is fundamentally a front-occupant's car.
Used 2026 Raize examples are not yet available in large volumes; and inventory is currently too thin to quote a reliable used-price anchor — early listings do, however, appear at a meaningful discount to new prices.
Buyers also consider the Daihatsu Rocky, Hyundai Creta and Kia Sonet — the closest rivals in this segment and price bracket.
