How much does a used Dodge Ram cost in the UAE?

Asking prices on our Ram listings run from AED 136000 to AED 250000, with cab configuration and trim doing more to the price than the odometer does.

Which used Dodge Ram year should you buy?

Know where the badge changes. Trucks sold as a Dodge Ram date from before around 2010, when Ram became a separate marque. The generation that arrived for 2019 is the one to want — coil-sprung rear suspension, a quieter cab, the large portrait touchscreen — while the 2013 to 2018 truck is the value pick and still thoroughly modern.

What do inspections find on a used Dodge Ram?

Remarkably little. 29% of the Dodge Rams we inspect in the UAE show evidence of prior body or panel repair, against the 51% we would expect for pickups of the same age and mileage here, and we find no electrical or electronics faults at all where the expectation is 9%. Panel work is the norm on working trucks — the GMC Sierra reads 36% against an expectation of 53% — so a Ram with a clean body has almost certainly been a private vehicle rather than a fleet one.

Does the Dodge Ram hold its value?

In line with the class at about 39% of its value after five years, against roughly 40% for pickups of similar age and mileage. The Ford F-150 does better at about 46% and the Toyota Hilux beats everything at about 64%.

Dodge Ram or Ford F-150?

If you sell within a few years, the Hilux is the disciplined answer and a much smaller truck. The F-150 costs less and shows body repair at 30% against an expected 64%. The Ram wins on cab comfort — with coil springs at the back it is the one you would pick for a long drive.

What to check on the car in front of you

  • Signs of towing or load work — hitch wear, rear spring sag, bed damage.
  • Air suspension where fitted, at each height setting.
  • Four-wheel-drive engagement in both ranges.
