Traffic jams and accidents are naturally a major cause of concern in the UAE. This is why many motorists opt to sell car in Abu Dhabi. Well, we’ve got some good news. According to statistics, the number of casualties from traffic accidents has dropped significantly in the past year. CarSwitch.com gives you the latest update.
In the year 2018, casualties in Abu Dhabi decreased from 199 to 149 resulting in a 25 percent decrease in traffic casualties from the year 2017. Similarly, major injuries from accidents has gone down by 19.46 percent. Moreover, the most significant decrease is in the death toll of run-over accidents. Last year, it was 38 percent less than that of 2017.
One of the reasons for this plunge could be the hefty fines for pedestrians as well as drivers. Additionally, fines given in 2018 are around 4 million out of which most were speeding fines.
This is a result of the Traffic Safety Strategy for 2016 – 2020. The main motives of which include safety for used cars Abu Dhabi, road infrastructure, traffic control, education and awareness as well as the rapid response teams.
Also, young motorists between the ages of 18 to 34 are responsible for most accidents as per statistics. Hence, it is important to teach new drivers some car safety trips before they go off on UAE roads.
This surely is some great news! But, those who aren’t following the rules even now should either sell car in Abu Dhabi or prepare to pay large amounts of fines every year. It’s not just the fines, irresponsible drivers cause dangers to their lives and the lives of the people around them. After all, safety comes first.
