We have all fought the urge to scream at the way some pedestrians cross the roads. From the phone zombies to the turtles, used car owners have probably encountered all. CarSwitch.com lists 5 pedestrians that make you want to pull your hair out!
The impatient over-estimators
This prototype of pedestrians thinks they should have won the gold medal in the Olympics instead of Usain Bolt. With a meagre 5 seconds left on the clock, they will sprint to the other side of the road They not only put others at risk at the behest of their impatience, but it is not worth wasting so much energy just to cross a road.
Meet the smombies!– A member of the undead community that are so fascinated by their smartphone that they are oblivious to their surroundings! Calling all the drivers out there, do mutter a short prayer so that God can save you from the apocalypse of the distracted phone zombies.
The human embodiment of “Cecil the tortoise”
While the slow and steady is generally a good pearl of wisdom to follow in all walks of life, but if you are in a hurry and the pedestrian seems to be taking 5 steps per 100 seconds, that might make you want to kill yourself. However, we advise practising patience when it comes to this prototype as they are mostly senior citizens with not as acute faculties as before.
The Road Narcissists
Remember how we told you to beware of the road royalty behind the wheels? This is Road Royalty Part II: The Pedestrian Edition. Even more surprisingly annoying than the sprinter, these people act like they own the road. They keep others waiting, get pissed at justified honking and have the gall to think that they have all the time in the world to cross the road.
The False Starters
Close Cousins of the over-estimators, this breed cannot find time in their “presidential schedule” to wait for the “second” for the red light to turn green. They make their dash prematurely. They can’t muster up even a seed of courage to wait one second before light turns green and hence rush away while the light is still red. Let’s all take a moment to pray for these poor souls who are carrying the burden of running a country over their puny shoulders!
If you have ever encountered the likes of any of these pedestrians, our deepest condolences go to you. In any case, two wrongs don’t make a right and if you drive a used car in Dubai, we suggest you abide by all the traffic laws, pedestrian laws as well your patience.
