Supercars are already pretty unique and expensive but what about those who want even more? For them, there are the rare limited edition supercars. Although many of us can’t just sell car in Sharjah and buy these exclusive cars, it doesn’t really hurt to look. CarSwitch lists some of these limited edition supercars for the uber-rich.
1. Ferrari LaFerrari Aperta
As if LaFerrari wasn’t exclusive enough, we present to you Ferrari LaFerrari Aperta which is the drop-top version of the limited production LaFerrari. It has the same V12 hybrid engine with 949hp with only one distinction, it gets a removable canvas soft top. Only 210 units of the Aperta were built and it’s so exclusive that it was sold to only those who got the invitation to buy it from Ferrari.
2. Mercedes Benz SLR Stirling Moss
Making its debut in 2009, the SLR Stirling Moss is a limited edition car named a British Formula One racing driver. It is one of the last masterpieces created under the partnership of the two car industry giants – McLaren and Mercedes. The SLR Stirling Moss was designed without the roof or windscreen to give it the classic speedster look and weighed as light as 200kg. It was discontinued in 2009 and only 75 units of this SLR were produced.
3. Bugatti Chiron Super Sport 300+
You might have already heard of the Bugatti Chiron Super Sport 300+ which is the World’s fastest production car. If you haven’t this is the supercar that broke the 300mph barrier and churns out 1578 hp. This new Chiron is set to arrive in 2021 with a sale price of $3.89million and only 30 units will be produced.
4. Lamborghini Sesto Elemento
Powered by a V10 engine, the Sesto Elemento is the most expensive Lamborghini of its time with a price tag of $6.5 million. Even though it was a track-only edition of the car, all 20 units of this Lamborghini were sold before it came in front of the world. The carmaker claims that it could go from 0-60mph in 2.5 seconds while topping off at 217 mph. Moreover, it weighed only 999 kg due to its carbon fibre body which is almost equatable to subcompact cars.
5. Pagani Zonda HP Barchetta
The Zonda HP was built to commemorate the 18th anniversary of the car brand. Its boat-like exterior made it look distinctive from the rest of the lot and was last of Zonda’s production run. Moreover, it is the most powerful Zonda ever produced with a Mercedes V12 engine with 789hp. Only 3 of these were ever built, out of which two were sold. Each of them carried a price tag of a whopping $15million.
6. Koenigsegg CCXR Trevita
The most exclusive of the exclusives, Koenigsegg CCXR Trevita pumps out a massive 1018hp and it has a diamond-weave carbon fiber body. Koenigsegg claims that this car has a top speed of 254 hp and goes from 0-62mph in a mere 2.9 seconds. Initially, 3 units were to be produced but because of the complex diamond weave body work, only 2 of these came out. It’s one of the world’s most expensive cars. The athlete Floyd Mayweather owns a Koenigsegg CCXR Trevita.
