We all know that every new and used car Dubai requires a number plate. Now with the recent launch of the world’s first factory that uses robots to print car number plates it has become a lot easier to print them. CarSwitch.com has put together this guide to help you learn everything you need to know about this new facility.
Inaugurated by Matter Al Tayer, this factory is located at the RTA’s Customer Happiness Center in Deira, Dubai. This plate production system is the work of a German Company Tonnjes Middle East GMBH.
This factory uses the fourth industrial revolution technology and artificial intelligence for printing number plates. Hence, using this process eliminates the risk of human error with each unit having the capacity 11,000 number plates a day.
This latest technology can produce a number plate after every 15 seconds. Moreover, six different types of number plates can be made whereas the old process could only produce one. Also, it can manufacture a total of 33,000 number plates per day which is a 1000% increase from the traditional way.
Further explained by Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), the robot takes printing orders electronically via an e-licensing system and goes on to print the plates. It uses the QR code of the plate to track the life-cycle of the plate – from manufacturing to scrapping.
Along with this technology, many other easy renewal services have been put in place by the RTA to facilitate residents of Dubai. So, the RTA plans to launch 10 similar machines at different RTA customer centers across Dubai. The central factory will have control over the other units.
With this latest technology, Dubai is again ahead of the game on the convenience front. This new technique will help residents get number plates for your new or used car Dubai easily. Just like we at CarSwitch.com aim to provide a hassle-free experience to buyers and sellers.
