In the past several years, the self-driving phenomenon has gone from “could it be possible?” to “surely possible” to “definitely inevitable” and finally to “commercially available”! For starters, a UAE-based car manufacturing company, W Motors will be revealing  MUSE, their first self-driving car on Auto Shanghai in April 2019. CarSwitch.com has all the details of the upcoming event and how soon it will be available to Dubai used car owners!

The MUSE features a fully electric level 4 and level 5 autonomous system, state of the art user interfaces and cloud computed connectivity. Additionally, it is equipped with several advances in interior systems that cater to many different consumer requirements. The car is set to be fully manufactured in UAE, Dubai and the production is expected to be fully completed in the last half of 2019.

W motors are the pioneers of the future of driving in the Middle East as well as being the first car manufacturer developer. The self-driving vehicle is going to be produced in partnership with ICONIQ motors and is “on the road” for EXPO in 2020.

What makes MUSE so revolutionary is not just it’s autonomous status but the fact that it was created with highly advanced and cutting edge technology by collaboration with partners such as Microsoft USA Magna Steyr and AKKA technologies. Interestingly, for Dubai used car owners, the name MUSE is derived from the goddess of Greek mythology and it is claimed that its conception must incorporate the epitome of aesthetic design and highly specialized automotive technology.

According to W motors CEO, Ralph Debbas, “The move from conventional vehicles to electric will happen much sooner than we expect, and we are honored to be part of this movement – as well as Dubai’s vision for the future of mobility.”

The latest development in the MUSE launch happened at a private ceremony at W motors on 13th February 2019. Sheikh Sayed Al Maktoum was also present in the ceremony as the formal signing took place.
