The Ministry of Interior has now made it easy for you to obtain a driving license. All UAE residents, including Dubai used car owners can now apply for an international driving license from their phones, even when they are travelling abroad!
You can apply for the international license online or through a mobile app, according to the Ministry of Interior (MOI). The exclusive service has been launched in alliance with the Automobile and Touring Club of the UAE.
The Chairman of the club, Muhammad Bin Sulayem, has confirmed that the license will be valid for a year.
He further stated the application process is quite simple. The smart app can be referred to in case of any legal requirements.
The issuance process will include the filling of application form, fee payments, approval recommendation, printing and getting the international driving license through the Ministry’s app.
The app is available in 10 languages and will provide the necessary legal cover and can also serve as identity proof in case you have lost your passport.
The app was launched at the end of 2018 and its mission was to enhance and improve the domain of services provided across the mobile applications and websites. Moreover, the service is hoped to increase customer satisfaction as well as reduce the time and hassles in acquiring a license.
The move is also part of the UAE Vision 2021 that aims to put the UAE among the top countries of the world in terms of social and economic development.
