The executive director of the Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services (DCAS), Khalifa Bin Drai mentioned that the supercars being added include a Nissan GT, a Range Rover and a Corvette. Previously, the DCAS had added muscle cars to the Dubai Ambulance fleet as well.
The Dubai police in collaboration with the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) and the Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services (DCAS) have recently unveiled these cars amid the launch of three month campaign known as ‘Give way.. Give hope’. The announcement was made through a video posted on the Instagram of @dubai_ambulance.
The campaign aims to lessen the response time to emergencies, decrease the number of accidents involving emergency vehicles and qualify emergency drivers in Dubai Ambulance, Civil Defence as well as Dubai Police.
These new set of wheels will have two paramedics and a driver. Moreover, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) equipment and oxygen cylinders will be installed in each of these cars along with other tools required to treat road accidents and drowning incidents.
These supercars will be spotted at some prominent tourist spots all around Dubai. As per Bin Drai, they will be found in areas like City Walk, the Dubai Mall, The Walk at Jumeirah Beach Residence and Sheikh Muhammad Bin Rashid Boulevard.
He also pointed out that these fast cars will help to keep the response time between four and eight minutes. Additionally, these cars will focus on providing first aid as soon as possible to victims before the ambulance reaches the site.
These supercars are a great addition to the Ambulance fleet and we hope that this decreases the number of fatalities from road accidents.
