Exterior & interior
The 2021 Cadillac Escalade sports the signature Caddy big grille and sleek headlights that give it a tasteful design. It has always been bold but now it looks more elegant than ever. The rear features long and thin tail lamps which add to its lean charm.
The cabin of this new Escalade is also roomier than before with 34.9 inches of more legroom in the third row. Moreover, the cargo carrying capacity behind the third row has increased by 68%. The increase in wheelbase and body length have also contributed to its spaciousness. The cabin is constructed out of top-notch materials and looks graceful.
Plethora of technology
The top notch interior features some seriously impressive tech features. The interior is dominated by a huge 38-inch diagonal display screen on the dashboard, which consists of three screens for different purposes. The mid part of the screen is its 16.9 inch infotainment, heading west is a 14.2-inch instrument display behind the wheel and on the far left is a 7.2-inch screen which serves as an information center for the driver. All these use Organic Light eEmitting Diode (OLED) which is an industry tech feature. This technology offers double the pixel density of a 4K television. Most importantly, it is standard for all models.
That’s not all. It also features a navigation system integrated with augmented reality. This helps drivers to navigate through cameras showing street images on screen in real time. It is also equipped with a two-megapixel “surround vision” birds eye view cam on all sides of this new SUV. Rear seat passengers get their own display screens with a new entertertaint system as well. Super Cruise system is another feature that sets this one apart.
The standard AKG system sports 19 speakers which is nothing less than impressive. However, this new mesmerizing Caddy adds another industry first feature that is a 36-speaker sound system developed by AKG which is offered as an option. It uses three amplifiers and offers much more than just the bass. No wonder, celebrities love Cadillacs.
Muscle
Despite its elegance, it doesn’t fall short of muscle. It carries a new 6.2L V8 under the hood and is mated with the awesome 10 speed gearbox we’ve loved since the 2018 model. It will be equipped with either rear-wheel-drive or all-wheel-drive and an electronic limited-split differential.
