Only the most expensive, fastest and fierce-looking hypercars deserve a top spot in CarSwitch.com’s list of the best supercars of 2019. If it has a top car speed record, a sell-your-car-but-still-can’t-afford-it price tag, or a state-of-the-art drivetrain and specs, chances are you will see it in this list!

1. Ferrari La Ferrari

Ferrari’s “alpha hypercar” is Ferrari’s peak power sensation ever produced. Powered by a naturally aspirated, thrilling 789 bhp 6.3-litre V12 with 161 bhp propelled directly to the rear wheels. Even though we have never been so lucky to test drive this beast, Ferrari claims that it can go from 0 to 62 mph in a spine-tingling 2.4 seconds! And to 186 mph in 15 seconds!

2. McLaren Senna

One of the most exciting and incredible road-legal track cars ever built, McLaren’s senna is a car of amazing capabilities. It is natural to be blown by Senna’s specs since any car that can go to 62 mph in 2.8 seconds. Given that it has a curb weight of 2641 lbs, and can eke out a power of 789 bhp, it is not really a surprise that Senna has some truly ferocious capabilities.

3. Porsche 918 Spyder

This car carries some top-notch capacity with some of the best battery capacity and the electric motor drivetrain. It can drive on electric power for 15 miles with a zero-emission that challenges its biggest competitors. It also comes with the standard naturally aspirated engine that revs out an 889 hp and 944 ft of torque for a more “raw” and fully powered experience.

4. Koenigsegg One

Costing at around 2 million pounds, the Koensigg is the fastest thing to have come out of Sweden that isn’t an air missile! Its turbocharged V8 hurls out a power of 1300 bhp and claims to go to a lubricious 250 mph in under 20 seconds! It is, however much reasonable to drive at such a high speed than you would think because the majority of the torque is off-boost. Still, as the One’s aerodynamics boost into action and it hits the speed of 125 mph, it becomes almost transcendental.

5. Pagani Huayra

It is said that the carmaker Pagani is so exotic that it once offered a set of leather accessories that were consecrated by the bishop himself — at least that’s what the story says. The Pagani is powered by a turbocharged 6.0 litre, V-12, Huayra is a challenging car to drive, and especially if you remove the aiding shreds. It is, however, so expressive and honest that it is a joy to drive at any speed.

Other honourable mentions of our top hypercars include; Bugatti Chiron, McLaren P1, Aston Martin Vulcan, Rimac concept 1 and Lamborghini Centenario.
