Abu Dhabi has launched the Smart Driving Testing system to assess those who want to get a UAE license to drive their new and used cars in Abu Dhabi. This new system, which uses Artificial intelligence(AI) and modern technology, has been introduced to improve traffic safety in the Emirate.
Using smart vehicles, the driving of new drivers is tracked and assessed, and the vehicle directly updates the traffic test file with the results. This is yet another step towards automation of day-to-day activities. You should also check out this guide on how to renew your driving license if you plan to drive in the UAE.
The smart vehicle was inspected a few days ago by Major General Faris Khalaf Al Mazrouei, the Commander in Chief of Abu Dhabi Police. This project aims to reduce traffic accidents.
These smart vehicles will be deployed in three test centres in Abu Dhabi, Al Dhafra and Al-Ain. All test centres will also have observation rooms for supervisors, monitors, electronic systems and performance indicators.
This project uses 32 smart vehicles, out of which there are 19 automatic rides, 13 manual ones and 28 smart buses. An advanced communications network will link all of these to the control rooms.
