Mercedes-Benz has truly wooed petrolheads across the globe by revealing another electric-vehicle, the EQB, based on the GLB crossover. While the recently-launched Mercedes Benz EQS was a major inclusion to the top rung of the brand’s EV lineup the EQA has joined the show as a stepping stone to the marque. Truth be told, every design of Mercedes Benz whether it is new or old has its own charm and that is why, a need is always felt to buy the most exceptional model of the iconic German automaker. However, the new models can be a costly affair for most of the enthusiasts out there. That is where the concept of used cars in the UAE comes into play.

At places such as Carswitch, you can buy pre-owned cars of the most favored brands at the most affordable prices. The best part is that the whole process is also free from any hassle whatsoever. In an attempt to diversify their EV portfolio even more, the Mercedes-Benz EQB debuts in China as a seven-seater crossover SUV with a maximum power output of 288 hp.

Sleek exterior to entice enthusiasts

As the name indicates, the Mercedes Benz EQB is proud to be the EV version of the rather square GLB SUV. As far as the front fascia is concerned, it is updated to gel with the faces of its larger siblings. Moreover, a large black panel ideally replaces the grill while the headlamps flow into it magnificently from either side. When it comes to the side profile, it is the same as that of the GLB while the rear has a full-width tail lamp, again an EQ design feature. In addition, there are EQ-specific colors as well as wheels, and there will be an option of regular or AMG-Line front and rear bumpers.

Slightly upgraded interior to entice drivers

The interior is almost similar to its other twin that is powered by fossil-fuel but it comes with EQ-exclusive color and trim options, including rose gold. There are three rows of seats that are standard in China while it is an optional feature in other regions. The best part is that if not in use, these seats can fold flat down while opening up an amazing cargo space of as many as 465 litres.  Owing to the battery packs in the floor, its interior space can suffer a bit as the third row can supposedly only work for people up to 5’5″, and the trunk shrinks significantly. However, that being said it still remains a fact that the EQB is still a crossover SUV that provides more space than usual for its exceptional exterior dimensions.

Multiple versions for different regions

With the EQB being unveiled in China, its shores will be the first to see the launch at the very first as an inspiring fully loaded model with a standard AMG Line look, all-wheel drive, and two motors that ideally make a combined 288 horsepower. As far as Europe is concerned, the region will get both the EQB350 4Matic with around 268 horsepower and also the front-wheel-drive EQB250 with as many as 221 horsepower. In addition, there will also be a midlevel version exclusively designed as a long-range model for the European region. It is worth mentioning here that both China and Europe will see the EQB on roads within the 2021 calendar year. With more updates regarding this fabulous EV still to come, it remains to be seen if the gulf release for this SUV is on the cards or not.
