The UAE roads are filled with luxury vehicles and sports cars but there are no separate driving lessons for drivers of such vehicles. Until now, that is! According to the Emirates Driving Institute (EDI), UAE’s largest and most successful driving institute, aspiring drivers now have the option to take their driving lessons in luxury vehicles. CEO of RTA’s Licensing Agency, Ahmed Hashem Behroozian officially launched the luxury driving course this week at EDI’s head office. If you are wondering how it will be received and what it will involve, well, here’s the deal. The package has seen several applicants so it’s already in demand. It will cost AED 30,000, covering all the expenses until a driver gets their license, irrespective of the number of classes or attempts it takes. Registrations for the course can be done at the customer’s location and pick and drop services will be provided by the company.
Behroozian had it right when he said that the course will serve learners from a particular segment of society. Those who would eventually go on to drive big luxury cars. He added that there will be no compromises when it comes to quality of training and compliance with regulations will be absolute. So, there is no need to worry on that account.
As of now, the platinum course is covered by two luxury vehicles, a Range Rover and a Mercedes 500. The next phase of this program will add new luxury sports cars to the fleet. We are looking forward to that!
