Earlier this year, Kia Motors demoed the Sonet CUV concept. The company has now announced the production version of the compact crossover SUV. It was built at the automaker’s facility in southern India. Many of its features are said to be based on the Stonic which is available globally. That crossover CUV is a part of the company’s Rio hatchback. Additionally, the new car is also believed to have some elements of Hyundai Venue. CarSwitch.com, an online marketplace to sell your car in Dubai and UAE, did some research to share the details with you.
Kia Sonet CUV Engine and Performance
When it comes to the engine, you have three choices. You can either choose from two petrol engines – a 1.2-liter four-cylinder or a 1.0-liter unit – or opt for a 1.5-liter diesel engine. Transmission choices include five- and six-speed manuals, a six-speed automatic, and a seven-speed DCT.
All the variants are compliant with the BS6-emission standards and develop the same power and torque as the Hyundai Venue.
It has an active and passive safety package that includes dual front airbags and ABS. Other safety tech includes Electronic Stability Control, traction control, Vehicle Stability Management, Electronic Stability Control, Hill-Start Assist, ISOFIX child seat anchors, and automatic headlamps.
Kia Sonet CUV Exterior
A quick glance at the vehicle is enough to know it’s a Kia car. The front fascia is heavy on signature styling elements such as the ‘heartbeat’ LED daytime running lights and ‘tiger-nose’ grille. The car boasts a sporty profile, and the image is further enhanced by the wraparound rear-windscreen and C-pillar. The LED taillamps also follow the ‘heartbeat’ design pattern. Other notable features include skid plates at the front and rear bumper, a dual muffler design, diffuser fins, and dual-tone 16-inch alloy wheels. Not convinced yet to sell your car in Dubai and UAE as soon as this one arrives?
