Motorists, we’ve got some awesome news for you! Starting from Sunday, 19th August 2018 to Saturday, 24th August 2018, you’ll be able to park your new and used cars in Dubai and Abu Dhabi for free on account of the festive occasion of Eid ul Adha.
Adding to the Eid festivities, the Department of Transportation (DoT) in Abu Dhabi and Roads and Transportation Authority (RTA), Dubai have mutually decided and disclosed that all public car parking will be free with the exception of multiple storied car parkings. The tariffs will be put back in place on 25th August 2018.
With this, the DoT and RTA are also urged drivers to not park in prohibited areas or disrupt the traffic flow during these holidays. Additionally, DoT has also requested the public to comply to the regulations of resident permit parking areas and not to park there from 9 pm to 8 am.
DoT has also announced that customer service centers will be closed till Sunday, August 26th. On the other hand, RTA stated that the customer happiness centers will only be closed till Thursday, August 23, and the smart customer service centre Umm Rumool will remain open at all times but the usual offices will resume work on Sunday, August 26th. The parking tariffs in both Abu Dhabi and Dubai will be reinstated on Saturday, August 25th.
Tasjeel Emirates Shamil centers and ENOC will resume work on Friday, August 24th and motor car services like Tamam Al Ghandi, Speedfit, etc. will resume their services on Thursday, August, 23rd.
