If you want to make a statement with your car, a large front grille is surely one way to do it. Sure, some people might find them too loud and tasteless, but we’ve seen them on some impressive used cars in Abu Dhabi as well. So, if you’re a fan of a massive grille on the face of your car, CarSwitch.com lists 5 cars that actually look good with it.
Audi RS6 Avant
If you want an aggressive-looking car, which seems determined to make its presence felt, look no further than the Audi RS6 Avant. It is one cool station wagon and a powerful one at that. At the same time, it’s comfortable and offers a lot of space. The car has a 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine under the hood and can produce 591 horsepower and 590 pound-feet of torque. Thus, if you want performance, comfort, and of course a big grille, then this sounds like the car for you.
Aston Martin DBS
The DBS Superleggera’s gigantic grille helps it cool the 5.2-litre bi-turbo V12 engine, according to Aston Martin. The engine can produce 715 horsepower and 664 pound-feet of torque. The rear wheels are powered by a ZF eight-speed automatic gearbox. The car can go from 0 to 62 miles per hour in just 3.4 seconds. This wide catfish mouth grille is something only Aston Martin could pull off.
Rolls Royce Phantom
A Rolls Royce can be spotted from afar just by its massive grille. The 563 hp Phantom has the signature Pantheon grille at the heart of its exterior design. Sitting beneath the spirit of ecstasy, it has never looked out of place on any of the Phantom cars. This is the kind of massive grille we’ll always root for.
Lexus LC
This one flaunts a spindle grille which has become a signature feature over time. Sure, in some regions, the number plate does mar the look, but overall, it is still pretty great. Previously, the design featured distinct upper and lower molds, but the new version is a unified, integrated piece. The company says that a lot of work goes into making the grille and it helps to set its flagship sedan apart from competing vehicles. And it’s not just the grille, the entire design of the Lexus LC is pretty impressive and it also has a great interior.
Mercedes-AMG GT R
Mercedes AMG GT-R was one of our favorites at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show and its grille certainly made heads turn. It has a new version of the M178 bi-turbo V8 engine which pushes out 585hp. The interior is also impressive and features high-quality materials. The GT-R makes an aggressive statement with a luxurious appeal and the grille certainly does a good job at it.
We’ve seen all kinds of grilles on used cars in Abu Dhabi but these are big ones and certainly add a little oomph to the styling of these cars. Although, if you have a different preference, CarSwitch.com has a vast list of used cars by different brands, all in one online marketplace.
