After acquiring the rights to Lotus (British automotive company that manufactures sports cars and racing cars) from Al-Futtaim, Karl Hamer, CEO of Adamas Motors, is introducing Lotus and Aston to Bahrain and other parts of the Middle East. This guide by CarSwitch.com, an online marketplace that features a wide range of certified cars for sale in Dubai, will help you learn all you need to know about it.
“Our DNA will be prestige-performance cars only,” said Hamer. “Asia-Pacific, the Middle East — those are the markets we are looking after we opened in Hong Kong with McLaren”.
Adamas is the youngest dealership in the UAE, and now its featuring Lotus in its showroom. The Lotus was premiered in Dubai with a price tag of 7.8 million AED.
Hamer told the media that instead of stocking just one prestige brand, they plan to have many. He also believes that they have managed to change the standard business model. “What you have seen is dealerships take a brand and try to make it fit their market.” He further stated, “What Adamas is doing is take brands of choice to those markets that will suit the brand”.
The company hopes to have 100 Mclarens this year in their Hong Kong operations. Moreover, they would like to expand by moving on to Shanghai next.
For their Dubai and Hong Kong operations, Adamas is looking towards private board investors. They hope to have a roadshow next year where they will introduce themselves to a wider investor market in New York and London.
