What will the States get?
In the United States, there will be only one engine in the 2022 Mercedes C-Class. This is a turbocharged 4 cylinder, 2-liter engine in the C300. The power output is 255 hp and 400 Nm of torque.
By having an integrated starter generator (ISG), an extra boost of 20 horses and 200 Nm torque is achieved. Moreover, there will be a rear-wheel-drive along with a 4Matic all-wheel drive as an option.
What will Europe get?
As for the European area, the 2022 C-Class will have a C200 model with a 1.5-liter engine. The power coming out of this small engine is 201 hp and 300 Nm of torque. This engine also receives the ISG from the bigger model.
In case someone wants an affordable model to experience the C-Class lineup, European customers will have a base C180 with the identical 1.5-liter engine belonging to the C200. However, this engine will give only 167 horses and 250 Nm of torque. This base model also gets the ISG.
More freedom with choices
