Not long ago, Porsche’s 991 generation ended with the amazing Porsche Speedster. Shortly after that, the 992 generation was launched with the 911 Carrera S and 4S trims. Now, the 2020 Porsche 911 Carrera Coupe and Cabriolet are here to complete the lineup.
The Carrera is visually similar to the Carrera S model. However, the Carrera coupe and cabriolet feature a single tailpipe on each side whereas the Carrera S is equipped with dual pipes on both sides. Moreover, a Sport Exhaust system upgrade is optional for all models which comes with two oval tailpipes.
The 2020 Porsche 911 Carrera is powered by a twin-turbo 3.0 liter flat 6 engine which churns out 379 hp with 331 lb-ft of torque. The engine is paired with an 8-speed PDK transmission and covers 0 to 100 kph in 4.2 seconds which is an improvement of 0.2 seconds from the previous Carrera model. Additionally, opting for the Sport Chrono Package can drop it further by 0.2 seconds. The 2020 Porsche 911 Carrera tops off at 291kph.
The latest 911 Carrera models will have the Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) as standard which will include both Normal and Sport mode. Additionally, the 911 will come with a Wet mode. The Wet mode uses sensors to detect water on the road and make adjustments accordingly. Moreover, these cars will have 19-inch tires on the front and 20-inch rear tires.
Along with this, the Porsche 911 Carrera coupe and cabriolet will also have similar interior as to its S counterparts along with a 10.9 infotainment screen.
Of course, the 2020 Porsche 911 Carrera will carry a hefty price tag but car lovers would be willing to sell any car in Dubai for this beauty.
