Would you ever sell your car if you didn’t have time to drive them? Well, it seems that is the reason why the WhatsApp co-founder, Jan Koum is selling 10 of his Porsches! According to news, Koum has so many of them that he just doesn’t have the room or the time to drive all of them.
And not just any run of the mill Porsches. Each of them is customised, limited edition and rare in their own right! The reports confirm that there will be a sale of his Porsches on 8th March, 2019, through Gooding & Company’s annual Amelia Island auction.
Koum stated: “Many of these Porsches offered for sale are the best examples in the world and they are all an important part of my collection. If I had unlimited time and unlimited garage space, I would never sell any of them, but nevertheless, I’ll be very happy to see the next owner enjoy driving these special cars on the road or on the racetrack–just as Porsche intended for them to be used.”
Are you wondering what the four-wheeled treasures will look like in the upcoming car for sale? Well, here they are! The first three are the Carrera RS models. The first is a 1992 Porsche 964 Carrera RS painted in a bright yellow and one of the 1910 models produced.
The next one is the 1993 Porsche 964 Carrera RS 3.8 of which only 55 were built and only 12 shrouded in blossom yellow. The 1995 Porsche 993 Carrera RS 3.8 is also Porsche exclusive in bright yellow and is one of the last air-cooled Carrera RS.
Quite a bunch to go next, seven more to be exact. The next one in line is the 2008 Porsche 997 GT3 RS 3.6 of which just 53 units were built in the characteristic RS green. The next in line is the 2010 Porsche 997 GT3 RS 4.0 painted in a grey and black with ceramic disc brakes.
