The 2024 Aston Martin Valhalla will be an outstanding hypercar. It will be a mid-engine vehicle with the hybrid powertrain from Ferrari SF90. The exterior of the hypercar boasts an upgraded version of the automaker’s carbon fiber engine cover, grille and slippery bodywork.
The center tub is also made of carbon fiber. Valhalla’s exotic appearance will be further exaggerated by the addition of dihedral doors. The power source is a twin turbocharged V8 engine sourced from Mercedes AMG and a plug-in hybrid powertrain.
Both join forces to deliver a total of 937 horses. According to the manufacturer, the top speed might be 217 mph and the 0-60 mph distance can be covered in 2.5 seconds. There will also be an EV mode available even though the electric range will not be that impressive. If you want to buy used Aston Martin cars in Dubai, visit CarSwitch.
New updates for 2024
Aston Martin experienced some big changes such as a new CEO aka Tobias Moer, who is an ex-CEO of Mercedes AMG. This means that the actual Valhalla will be significantly different from the version which was teased as 003.
Although there is a lot the public does not know yet, the released version will come with an AMG sourced engine and it’s price tag will consist of 6 zeroes instead of 7. Moreover, the hypercar will start to be delivered to customers by the end half of 2023. This means that it will be definitely available by 2024.
The manufacturer will make no more than 999 units and each Valhalla will cost around $800,000. The public is hopeful that the manufacturer will make an open-top version as well which would be way too expensive.
Engine and performance
Aston Martin Valhalla will display a strong plugin hybrid powertrain. The core will feature a twin turbocharged 4 liter V8 engine having a unique flat-plane-crank style which is also sourced from Mercedes AMG. This engine will feed it’s rear wheels via an 8-speed dual clutch automatic transmission.
Moreover, there will also be an electric motor in order to power the front wheels. Another motor will be added to the transmission for high power output. As expected, the full combined power output of Valhalla will be 937 horses. The electronically controlled transmission will have an electronically assisted limited-slip rear differential and an electric reverse.
Similar to its rival aka the Ferrari SF90 Stradale, Valhalla will only utilize it’s front electric motor for initiating the complete EV mode. This mode can be driven for 8 miles and it offers the highest speed of 80 mph. However, in conventional driving, the electric power is divided between the two axles as required.
It specifically reverses in the electric mode as well which saves weight by erasing the need for a standard reverse gear in the 8-speed DCT transmission.
The dry weight is targeted to be 1,550 kg will provide the vehicle “an unrivaled power-to-weight ratio compared to its class rivals”, as revealed by Aston Martin. Aerodynamics is improved with big venturi channels, rear wing and an active front splitter. This is inspired by the Valkyrie’s F1.
In order to save weight, the manufacturer will utilize carbon fiber in the structure and framework. It will also display 2-stage springs and adaptive dampers. These will be accordingly adjusted to achieve an ultra low track mode. Moreover, the carbon ceramic brakes will be available as standard. Assumptions suggest that the exotic exterior will be paired with an extraordinary handling.
Infotainment and safety features
All that is revealed regarding the Aston Martin Valhalla infotainment system is that it will be compatible with the company’s future user interface. This will be it’s first ever user interface to display a touchscreen.
And definitely, the fans assume that it will provide appealing software such as Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Similarly, the strong sound system and a built-in navigation system will be given as well.
Valhalla will offer a variety of driver assistance functions which are usually observed in less extreme vehicles. Although it will offer the standard side mirrors, these will be paired with a camera-based rearview mirror inside the interior. Some of the key safety features of Aston Martin Valhalla will be:
- Available blind spot monitoring
- Available adaptive cruise control
- Available automated emergency braking
