After a good many years, Honda has finally revealed an EV. The company introduced the production-ready Honda e during the Frankfurt Motor Show. However, if you are looking for this car for sale in Abu Dhabi, you probably wouldn’t be able to buy it. That’s because the vehicle is for European and Japanese markets, and it’s not even going to be available in the U.S. The experts at CarSwitch.com have compiled this guide to help you learn all you need to know about the new reveal.
Honda E Is A Compact Car Intended For Easy Maneuvering
The Honda e packs in a 33.5-kilowatt-hour battery that’s connected to a single electric motor. With it, the car will be able to go around 136 miles on a single charge. Thanks to the fast charging technology, 80 percent of the cell can be juiced up in just 30 minutes.
Needless to say, that’s not really a wide range and thus this car might not be suitable for people who travel long distances. Instead, as Honda has clarified, it’s meant for urban environments. The small battery, compact size, and the 50-50 weight distribution will allow the car to move swiftly and easily and that’s really what the manufacturer wants.
Despite being a rear-wheel drive, the car isn’t really fast. Depending on the motor option you choose, it can crank out either 134hp or 151hp and 300Nm torque. It goes from a standstill to 62mph in just eight seconds.
The car’s design is surely futuristic. For instance, in place of side mirrors, you get side view cameras. The interior is also impressive, featuring dual 12.3-inch LCD touchscreens for infotainments. The car also features an artificial intelligence system which will come alive when “OK, Honda” is said. It will be able to answer queries and respond to questions. The electric car will also feature My Honda+ suite of services and apps that offer digital locking and unlocking, location monitoring, and remote climate control, among other things.

The Car Will Be Released In Europe Next Year
The Honda e will go on sale in Europe next year, but those interested can start registering for it already. For consumers in other regions, other green options from the company are available such as the Clarity and the Insight hybrid. The price of the car starts at £26,160 and the beefier version has a price tag of £28,660.
Honda is currently working with UK’s Ubitricity to secure access to early 1,800 chargers in the country. This will make it easier for drivers to charge their cars on the go. Other European countries where the car will be available include France, Germany, and Norway.
