Motorists who drive recklessly will face a hefty penalty of AED 2000 along with 23 black points. Additionally, vehicles will also be impounded for 60 days. Unapproved tweaking of the engine or chassis will lead to a fine of AED 1000 and 12 black points with the vehicle being impounded for 30 days. Motorists violating traffic rules can also receive community service as a punishment.
