This isn’t the first time Elon Musk has made such a tweet. Once before, Porsche Supercharger V3 was the target. The Supercharger V3 had a 350 kW charging capacity at which Elon Musk tauntingly tweeted ‘A mere 350 kW… what are you referring to, a children’s toy?’
Recently, Elon Musk responded to a tweet by a Dodge Ram owner who claimed that he transports heavy steel beams weighing 12,000 pounds each day in his Ram. Here is what Musk’s tweet said:
“12,000 lbs!? How puny. Do you construct children’s toys?”
12,000 lbs is a respectable figure for a pickup truck but not according to Elon Musk. With Tesla’s pickup truck in the making, this tweet signifies that it will have a towing capacity more than 12,000 pounds for sure.
It is undeniable that Tesla’s electric cars were a revolutionary in the electric car arena. Although, with time the rivals of tesla have also increased. The Ford’s electric F150 and the promising rival Rivian are also going to give Tesla a tough competition. And these tweets dissing other pickup trucks might not help. Instead, they might raise the expectations of buyers which might lead to disappointment even on the slightest drawback.
Tesla’s upcoming truck is expected to be released sometime later this year. And the expectations are very high.
