Car owners in Dubai, hold off on selling used car! As the weekend of Al-Hijri New Year is just around the corner, we’re sure you have planned some celebrations with your family. Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced two days of free parking on account of the holiday. There will be no parking charges on September 13 and regular charges will resume from September 15 onwards.

Owners of electric cars already enjoy their free parking spots but public parking spaces with orange signs or ticket machines will be free for all during these holidays. Although, multi-level parking slots are not included in this and you will face the regular fee for using them.

Additionally, public transport timings will also be different and will revert to the usual timings on Friday, 14th September. Dubai Metro, green line and Dubai Tram have all extended their timings to facilitate the public transport users. Bus timings have also been changed.

Customer Happiness Centres will remain closed from 13th t0 16th September. Though, if there’s something urgent, you can visit Umm Ramool customer service centre, which will remain open.

Free parking spots provide you with a great way to save money. You can also save money by visiting CarSwitch.com, where you can easily buy and sell any car in Dubai and get the best deals. Happy Holidays!
