Did you know that the first car was a toy?
That’s right! The first car was a toy built by Ferdinand Verbiest for the Chinese Empire. The earliest cars were steam-powered, and the first passenger car invented in the 1800s. The first standard automobile, though, was invented by Karl Benz. It was powered by an internal combustion engine and had three wheels.
Cars become cheaper
The first car produced by assembly line was Ford’s model T. This leap in technology meant that the cars would be much more affordable. It could manage a speed of 45 mph on a horsepower of 20, which was quite frankly lower than the speed of galloping horses!

The hybrid car?
Although the efforts of the hybrid evolution faced a bump in the road with the success of the gas-powered cars, the history behind the hybrid cars is still memorable from the year 1665 to 2000 when the Toyota Prius was released. The first hybrid model to hit the markets in 1999 was a Honda.
Car ignition parts
The first car ignition parts are known to be one of the first hole-in-ones used in the auto manufacturing company. The earliest patented design came in 1883 by Siegfried Marcus. The design was of the magneto type and it is still used today.
Car keys
The humble utility was invented in the 1949 when Chrysler invented a technology that ran both the ignition and the electric starter. Henceforth, the modern key was invented that started with the ignition tumbler turn.
