The two-door coupe, 2020 Toyota Supra, has finally been unveiled at the Detroit Auto Show. Although the car for sale is priced a little over 183, 657 AED ($50,000), the first model was auctioned by the Barrett-Jackson auction house for 7,713, 615 ($2.1 million). Here is what you need to know about Toyota’s latest car:
The 2020 Supra Is One Stylish Car
Supra has never been synonymous with subtlety and the new model is no different. It’s heavily inspired from the 2014 FT-1 concept and it looks a lot more striking than the other cars Toyota has released in years. However, since the car features a rather bold design, everyone may not like it.
The two-seater has a double-bubble roof and it has a really long hood. The rear haunches are quite noticeable. The center grille of the car kinds of protrudes and the air intakes are pretty wide. Both the sides of the car have aerodynamic side skirts as well. The LED headlights in the front are kind of slim.

The Car Doesn’t Offer Excessive Power
The 2020 Supra has a horsepower of 335 and offers 365 lb-ft of torque. It has a 3.0-liter inline-six BMW engine. Like the Z4, the 2020 Supra will have features such as direct fuel injection and a twin-scroll turbo. According to estimates provided by Toyota, the car can offer a top speed of up to 155 mph.
Featuring an active system, the 2020 Supra can shift power between 0 and 100% between each back wheel as needed, balancing understeer and oversteer. The car also comes with a Sport mode, which gives more heft to the power steering, sharpens up the shifts from an automatic transmission, which makes the accelerator sharper and the active diff more aggressive.

The 2020 Supra Has A Lot In Common With the BMW Z4
Apart from the engine itself, there are also some other things that the BMW Z4 and the 2020 Supra share. This is hardly surprising, as when the two companies joined hands back in 2013, they promised two different, authentic cars and it was obvious that there was going to be some overlapping.
The dashboard of the 2020 Supra looks a lot like that of the Z4. BMW’s iDrive rotary controller, switchgear, and electronic gear-shifter can also be seen in the new car; the only difference is that you can spot Supra graphics and the Toyota badge.
