Overview
Maserati has long been teasing it’s fans with the latest MC20. It is a mid-engine sports car which is offered with a 2-seater coupe. It boasts a minimalist cabin which is concentrated on the driver. Maserati has collaborated with a motorsport engineering company Dallara and they have come up with a carbon fiber structure having aluminum subframes as suspension and powertrain. Engine and performance
The automaker is utilizing the MC20 as a chance to introduce the brand new twin turbocharged V6 engine which delivers 630 horses. This engine is known as Nettuno and it uses a distinct twin combustion system sourced from the Formula One race cars. It is complemented with an 8-speed automatic transmission.
The manufacturer promises the 0-62 mph distance to be covered in less than 3 seconds and a top speed of 200 mph. Apart from the gasoline powered model, the automaker also claimed that an electric version of the MC20 having an all wheel drive will be launched soon. This all electric variant will be the Italian brand’s first jump into electrification.
