To celebrate UAE’s 49th National Day, the Fujairah, Ajman and Ras Al Khaimah have announced a 50 percent waiver in traffic fines on November 25, 2020 With a validity of seven days, the scheme will cancel all black points as well all fines because of impound of vehicles.
Starting on December 2, 2020, any fines imposed before December 1, will be eligible for the scheme. The aim of the scheme is to celebrate the national day and spread happiness to the public. This scheme is deemed as an opportunity for people who have been charged under the traffic laws to clear their names at a lower cost.
While making the announcement, the police have advised people to abide by the traffic laws regardless of the fines being slashed to half. Safety and security of all citizens is the top priority.
