How does it look?
The high trim levels of Peugeot come with 17 inches rims and triple LED claw lights. Both of these details make it look very handsome. All the trim levels come with 5 doors. The range of models is simple.
As standard, there is a 74 bhp 5-speed manual and petrol. In the middle, there is a 99 bhp and the same 1.2 liter turbocharged engine having a 6 speed automatic transmission or a 8 speed automatic.
Finally, there is the same engine but with 128 bhp in the range topper along with the automatic standard box. A 1.5 liter engine giving 99 bhp is the only diesel option. The e-208 is also available with running costs similar to the petrol throughout these years.
When it comes to the drive, the BlueHDi diesels offer an easy and strong ride. The supermini has a 700 km of driving range and it’s 74 bhp petrol is the best available choice because it is the base price banner car. On the other hand, the 99 bhp version has a starting price of £17,000 and it is absolutely frugal.
This version emits sharp noises and showcases excellent performance. However, the standard 6 speed manual transmission that it’s combined with is very dry. This can be solved through opting the 1.2 liter 3 cylinder engine which delivers 128 bhp, and is mated to the standard 8 speed automatic transmission. This gearbox is one of the best in the class segment.
On the inside
The raw materials used for the interior are better than the previous generation. This includes attractive metal, harder plastic and woven carbon details. The touchscreen has a climate control within it. Although the functioning of the screen isn’t that fast, it’s touch sensitive shortcut buttons are useful. Android Auto and Apple CarPlay are given as standard.
Peugeot has added desirable touches in the mini. There is an efficient 3D instrument cluster which projects speed and reduces 0.5 seconds of glancing time which makes driving safer. Different screen layouts and color combinations are available. The cupholders are not big, cabin space is not competitive and the door bins are not carpeted.
However, there is a rubberized smartphone pad behind the rotating door which is equipped with the wireless charging in the GT line trims. The regular USB-C and USB ports are provided. Access to the back seats is easy but they are not too accommodating. However, children can be tucked away in the rear seats comfortably. If you choose the e-208, there is no compromise on legroom and boot area because the batteries fill the gap.
Owning the 2021 Peugeot
2021 Peugeot 208 is meant to exceed all your expectations.

The automaker said that it had the highest uplift on residual value in 2 decades with the latest generation of 208. This is due to the futuristic nature and high quality of the mini. Although this will only be confirmed with time, the manufacturer’s new idea of avoiding heavy discounts in sales is paying dividends.
The basic 208 comes with 5 gears, LED running lights, 74 bhp, 16 inches alloy wheels, Active trim, electric heated door mirrors. The cost of this trim is £16,250.
