About Hyundai Accent

The Accent is Hyundai's budget sedan in the UAE, built to a price rather than to a spec sheet: a 1.5-litre four, an automatic, five seats, and a 528-litre boot that embarrasses cars a class above it. The current Accent is a full redesign rather than a facelift, and it is a substantially longer car than the one it replaced — which is where that boot came from.

How much does the Hyundai Accent cost in the UAE?

There is no ladder to climb. Both 2026 trims list at AED 83,000, so the choice is which equipment pack suits you rather than how much to spend. Engine, gearbox and cabin are identical either way, which makes the Accent one of the simplest new cars in the country to order — and one of the hardest to overspend on.

Hyundai Accent or Nissan Sunny?

Take the Accent for what comes inside it: an 8-inch touchscreen with CarPlay, and that unusually deep boot, on a car this cheap. The Nissan Sunny undercuts it and is the default choice for fleets, which keeps demand for used ones strong. The Toyota Yaris is the third name here and the one to take if service familiarity outranks equipment.

What does a Hyundai Accent cost to run in the UAE?

About 16 Km/L from the 1.5 L petrol four, and consumables that cost less than almost anything else sold new here. Juma Al Majid covers sales and service in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah, so the balance of the warranty follows the car to its next owner — and because the mechanical package carries over from earlier Accents, independent garages already stock the parts.

Does the Hyundai Accent hold its value, and what should you watch for as it ages?

It holds about 54% of its value after five years, slightly ahead of the 51% typical for a Korean car here, which is respectable for something that starts this cheap. Mileage is what to watch: the Accents run to a median of around 125,000 km across 1,198 CarSwitch inspections, because these are cars bought to be driven daily and hard. That is the segment behaving normally, not a flaw — but it does mean the inspection report on the individual car tells you more than its age.

Is a used Accent the better buy?

Usually. A nearly new example generally runs around AED 40,000 to AED 60,000, roughly 49% under the new entry price — about AED 40,000 saved, on a car where AED 40,000 is most of the purchase. What you take on is someone else's commute, so the odometer and the service history decide whether the discount is real.

Pick your equipment pack, then see what the used Accents listed now do to that arithmetic.
