BYD has grown from a Chinese battery manufacturer into one of the world's largest electrified vehicle producers — and it is now one of the fastest-growing brands in the UAE. The lineup spans 15 models in 2026, covering SUVs, sedans, and a plug-in hybrid pickup, with prices running from AED 74,900 to AED 231,900. The brand's core advantage is competitive pricing on electrified powertrains: nearly every model in the range is either fully electric or a plug-in hybrid, at price points that established Japanese and European rivals haven't matched.

Performance-oriented buyers can look to the Seal — a fully electric sedan with a sharp, coupe-like silhouette — or the flagship Han, which tops the lineup at AED 231,900. The Sealion 7 is BYD's premium electric SUV, pitched squarely against the Tesla Model Y. For those who need a working pickup, the Shark-6 PHEV is the only electrified truck in its class available in the UAE. Off-road buyers have the Leopard 8, a serious body-on-frame SUV with PHEV capability at a price well below comparable Toyota and Nissan flagships.
