With the move towards electric SUVs, it was expected to jump the EV bandwagon sooner or later. And here it is, the Range Rover Sport HST Special Edition with a mild hybrid powertrain.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-8622\" src=\"http:\/\/65.1.85.58\/newsroom\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/back-1-300x204.jpg\" alt=\"used cars in Dubai\" width=\"300\" height=\"204\" srcset=\"https:\/\/carswitch.com\/newsroom\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/back-1-300x204.jpg 300w, https:\/\/carswitch.com\/newsroom\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/back-1.jpg 589w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This all-new Range Rover HST gets power from a 3.0L supercharged straight-six cylinder powerhouse and 48V battery. The mild-hybrid system helps restore energy that goes to waste while braking in to the battery. That energy aids the engine to improve the efficiency of the engine. With the rising <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/65.1.85.58\/newsroom\/bolt-ev-electric-suvs-uae\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">shift towards electric SUVs<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, this seems to be a step in the right direction by Land Rover. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Additionally, it also consists of an electric turbocharger system. This system uses electric power to spool up the turbocharger at high speed to reduce the lag time. Hence, this new mild-hybrid Range Rover has better performance as well as fuel economy then its predecessors. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">With this engine, the Rover HST can produce 394 hp and can do 0 to 100 km\/hr in almost 5.9 &nbsp;seconds topping off at 225 kph. The integration of hybrid technology also makes it fuel economy average of 30.5 mpg. Also, its carbon dioxide emissions show a 12% decrease than its forerunner.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-8623\" src=\"http:\/\/65.1.85.58\/newsroom\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/interior-7-300x204.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"204\" srcset=\"https:\/\/carswitch.com\/newsroom\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/interior-7-300x204.jpg 300w, https:\/\/carswitch.com\/newsroom\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/interior-7.jpg 589w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This special edition Rover also gets some exterior updates. It now has a carbon fiber hood, vent, grille and tailgate trim along with red brake calipers. The interior gets a new color combination along with dynamic sports seats, suede steering wheel and satin chrome paddle shifters.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Range Rover Sport has a great legacy among <a href=\"https:\/\/carswitch.com\/dubai\/used-cars\/search\">used cars in Dubai<\/a>&nbsp;<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">and it&#8217;s good to see it adding hybrid options to the mix. Unfortunately, we can\u2019t say for sure if this car might ever come to the UAE.
