The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) is in the process of revising speed limits on the roads of Dubai, UAE. As of March 17, the speed limit on Sheikh Zayed bin Hamdan Al Nahyan Street has been revised from 90 km\/hr to 100 km\/hr. One of the key roads in Dubai, the Sheikh Zayed Bin Hamdan Al Nahyan lies between the section of Dubai-Al Ain Road and Al Yaleyes Road. Additionally, it connects desert communities with some major areas like Dubai Silicon Oasis, Dubai Studio City and Academic City. This road running between Sheikh Zayed Road and Emirates Road is a daily route for many drivers of <\/span>used cars Dubai<\/span><\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

As per the CEO of RTA, Maitha bin Adai, these changes are being made after conducting elaborate studies. These studies under the guidelines of Speed Management Dubai have taken many factors into consideration before this increase. <\/span><\/p>\n

Factors like the travelling speed of motorists, construction on the roadside, pedestrian movement and many more affect this decision. Moreover, the volume of traffic as well as rate of accidents have also been taken into account. <\/span><\/p>\n

The speed signs will be changed to reflect the increase in speed limit. Additionally, warning and directional signs will be put up as well to conform with RTA\u2019s vision of building a safe and smooth traffic flow for motorists. <\/span><\/p>\n

The Assistant Commander-in-Chief for operations from Dubai Police has also stated that adjustments will be made in line with the new speed limit. The speed cameras will be set at 120 km\/hr with the <\/span>grace window of 20 km\/hr<\/span><\/a>. <\/span><\/p>\n

This action was taken by the RTA in coordination with the Dubai Police and aims to improve the safety of traffic on Dubai roads. <\/span><\/p>\n

This means that drivers of <\/span>used cars Dubai<\/span><\/a> can go a little faster on this road now. Although, make sure you don’t cross the limit as it may lead to <\/span>car speeding fines<\/span><\/a> or even accidents. <\/span><\/p>\n
