Later on, the car was refreshed and received a new style, performance upgrades, and a technological update. However, the changes are nothing drastic, and there are just a handful of new features. The 2020 Mercedes AMG GT Brings Major Improvements To The Interior<\/b><\/h3>\n

\nThe 2020 Mercedes AMG GT features new LED headlights and the entry-level GT and higher-end GTC versions also get a new rear fascia and tail-pipe designs. Most of the changes are concentrated on the inside. The car comes with the proprietary touchpad-based infotainment system. It also features the 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster. The 2020 GT also has a new steering wheel which has two touch-sensitive nubs to control the information shown on the 10.3-inch console-mounted display and the gauge cluster screen. <\/span><\/p>\n

The three-spoke tiller also takes advantage of the new AMG-specific LCD screens for controlling performance features likes the drive modes of the car. On the center console of the car, color-display buttons can be seen. The TFT switches can be used to adjust features such as the start-stop system and exhaust system.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Powertrain Remains Unchanged<\/b><\/h3>\n

Since the 2016 update introduced major changes to the GT’s engine lineup, the 2020 Mercedes AMG GT doesn\u2019t get new powertrains. All the variants of the new GT come with a twin-turbo 4.0-liter V-8 and feature a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. The base model offers 469 horsepower and 465 lb-ft of torque, while the GT C increase that to 550 and 502 lb-ft. The maxed out GT R boasts 577 horsepower and 516 lb-ft torque. For 2020, the GT S model has been dropped. You can expect the model to reach UAE showrooms by the summer of 2019.<\/span><\/p>\n

The 2020 Mercedes AMG GT also features the new AMG Dynamics stability control programming which drastically improves performance. The system provides four settings. Basic is a part of the Slippery and Comfort drive modes and it provides the stability control setup. The Advanced settings can be used when the car is on the Sport drive mode.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Pro option can be selected for the Sport+ drive mode and lets you move around the GT more before stability control is enabled. And lastly, the Master settings remove the electronic nanny and it is only available with the GT C and GT R variants.<\/span><\/p>\n

The GT also get the new GT R Pro trim, which is track-focused. It draws inspiration from the AMG GT3 and GT4 race cars and has a new coil-over suspension setup which includes adjustable front and rear anti-roll bars, manually adjustable dampers, and spherical bearings for the lower and upper wishbones of the rear suspension.<\/span><\/p>\n
