Adding two extra gears to the 10L80 (gearbox\u2019s name) has made it more flexible in terms of power and performance delivery! With the wheel size being increased to 7.3, operating the wheelcogs is now smoother and seamless.<\/span><\/p>\n

5. Quicker and smoother shifts<\/b><\/p>\n

Due to special pumps, the wheel cogs of the gearbox are a breeze! The previously mentioned low numerical top gear ratio allows the Escalade quicker and seamless shifts as the gear is always in action when the driver steps on the accelerator!<\/span><\/p>\n

6. Fluid transmission<\/b><\/p>\n

Another feature that reduces the internal friction and the burden on the hydraulic pump is the viscosity (fluid thickness) of the transmission fluid that is about 4.5 centistokes at the maximum.<\/span><\/p>\n

7. Improved GM (General Motors) system<\/b><\/p>\n

The basic hardware of the 10L80 is already cutting edge but combining it with GM\u2019s software makes it even better! There is an electronic module that relays information to many interconnected networks via a system of GM\u2019s advanced calibrations, software and algorithms.<\/span><\/p>\n
