You need sidewalls that can handle the flex. On used SUVs, cracked or perished sidewalls are one of the most common issues our inspections flag \u2014 especially on cars in Dubai that have baked in outdoor parking for years.<\/p>\n\n<p>Before any desert trip, check for sidewall cracks, uneven wear, and tread depth. You want at least 3mm of tread. If your tyres are older than five years, replace them regardless of how they look. And carry a portable compressor \u2014 you&#8217;ll need to re-inflate before hitting tarmac on the way home.<\/p>\n\n<h2>Coolant and cooling system<\/h2>\n\n<p>Your engine works harder in sand. Low-range gears, slow speeds, and soft terrain mean more heat and less airflow. A weak cooling system will overheat you fast.<\/p>\n\n<p>Check your coolant level and colour. Cars that come with a full, documented service history tend to pass inspection at much higher rates. And here&#8217;s the number that matters: SUVs with proper service records <a href=\"https:\/\/carswitch.com\/uae\/used-car\/sell\">sell for about 14% more<\/a> than identical models without one.
