Called the Mercedes-Benz Vision AVTR, the vehicle was made with assistance from the director James Cameron. It goes without saying that since this is a concept car, you will not be able to buy it but you can check out some other cool <a href=\"https:\/\/carswitch.com\/abudhabi\/used-cars\/search\">used cars in Abu Dhabi<\/a> on CarSwitch.com.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Vision AVTR Performance<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>Mercedes-Benz is committed to reducing its carbon footprint and thus it envisions graphene-based organic battery cells for the car. The company says these wouldn\u2019t need earth minerals and the cells will likely be compostable and completely recyclable. The 110 kilowatt-hours electric motor inside the car can churn out 469 horsepower and achieve a range of nearly 435 miles. The German automaker also says that it will be possible to fully juice up the battery in less than 15 minutes. The sustainability theme is continued inside, thanks to the use of vegan leather and recycled plastics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Exterior<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>The rear end of the car is covered in 33 scales that the automaker is calling \u201cbionic flaps\u201d. The scales are not just there to give the car an outlandish look but they also serve a purpose: communicating with people on the outside. The vehicle also features transparent door shells.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The vehicle comes with special spherical wheels that have been inspired by, as you might have guessed, the movie. The wheels can also rotate to move diagonally and sideways. These wheels will also be less taxing on the forest floor if you ever decide to take the AVTR there. The wheels even have LEDs to help them glow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"733\" height=\"393\" src=\"http:\/\/65.1.85.58\/newsroom\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/1-5.jpg\" alt=\"Mercedes used cars in Abu Dhabi\" class=\"wp-image-12359\" srcset=\"https:\/\/carswitch.com\/newsroom\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/1-5.jpg 733w, https:\/\/carswitch.com\/newsroom\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/1-5-300x161.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 733px) 100vw, 733px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Interior<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>Inside, there is no steering wheel, since this car is a driverless one. To interact with the car, there is an oval-shaped controller which pops out of the center console when you touch it. The seats will vibrate with the pace of your heart rate and breathing. The supercar can show the outside world in real-time 3D graphics and also show what\u2019s going on in front of the ride.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It also has some kid-friendly features. It will theoretically adapt according to passengers on board and if a family is inside, the parents will be able to keep an eye on their kids using the dashboard display. The lights at the back will also be able to replicate breathing vibrations so that the kids know they aren\u2019t alone. Other attractions include learning-oriented games and child-friendly augmented reality experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At the end of the day, this is a concept car and, usually, the purpose of these vehicles is to show what advanced technologies are being considered by an automaker.
